Improving Mental & Physical Health Through Movement

Rewire Neuro Dynamics is a movement education & coaching service for anyone who wants to learn the underlying tools & principles of health.

With specialist knowledge of the brain & nervous system, the Rewire approach has been used internationally to help individuals improve their understanding & management of:

  • If you wish to improve your body or mind, there is no skill more important to learn than the process of learning itself.

Rewire Neuro Dynamics offers training & mentoring in the art of neuroplasticity: the brain’s ability to rewire & adapt to new things.

We have experience working with many disciplines & occupations

  • Almost certainly the most misunderstood emotion in the human experience, pain causes significant disruption to the lives of millions on a daily basis.

Modern research is showing more and more that to combat pain, it is not enough to fight the symptoms. Instead, a more holistic approach between mind & body is required, and we must first develop a better understanding of the mechanisms behind pain and its effect on the brain.

The Rewire Neuro Dynamics approach to pain combines, pain education, emotional regulation, motivation and neurological & physical rehabilitation exercises to bring about lasting changes to pain.

We have experience working with the following issues

    • Chronic pain

    • Fibromyalgia

    • Post surgery pain

    • Headache & post concussion syndrome

    • Joint pains

    • Nerve Pain

    • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

    • Frozen Shoulder

    • Back, disc & spine issues

    • Sprain & strain rehab

    • Jaw & neck pain

    • ACL rehab

    • Plantar fascitis

  • Movement & exercise are both well researched as having a positive impact on our mental health, yet too often we find that people avoid exercise while in negative emotional states.

The Rewire approach breaks down both the components of exercise as well as the psychological building blocks of behaviour to help find the right movement program for the right person, no matter their emotional state.

We have experience working with the following issues

    • Anxiety

    • Depression

    • Burnout

    • Pain

    • Fatigue

    • OCD

    • Trauma

  • When looking at things from the point of view of the brain, it is impossible to ignore the impact that the brain’s vision & vestibular (balance) systems have on everything that we do.

The visual system is represented all across the brain, making up about 50% of our total brain cells. For every thought or action we take, our brain has linked this to vision in some way.

Balance on the other hand, is at all times the most imminent threat to our survival. Our brain uses the eyes and sensors inside the ears to keep our head from falling over.

Training our visual and balance systems is one of the best ways to see our movement and cognitive function improve, and this goes doubly so when these systems are struggling.

We have experience working with the following issues

    • Vision & balance for sport

    • Visual acuity

    • Visual Suppression

    • Eye coordination issues

    • Vertigo

    • Fall Prevention

    • Motion sickness

  • Coordination & posture are not only the foundations for good movement, but also for good mental processing.

The Rewire approach to posture & coordination aims to train higher order systems of the brain to take control of posture, so that it can be managed unconsciously rather than devoting mental energy to these tasks.

When we teach our body to delegate coordination & posture to the realm of unconscious thought, we free up mental energy for both efficient movement & efficient thoughts.

We have experience working with the following issues

    • Tech neck (forward head posture)

    • Scoliosis

    • Winged scapula

    • Flat feet

    • Chronic stiffness

    • General clumsiness

    • Tremor

    • Joint instability

    • Hypermobility

    • Dyspraxia

  • As we better understand the mind body connection, we are beginning to realise that what we once attributed solely to the category of health often has a strong influence on our mental resilience, and vice versa.

Rewire Neuro Dynamics uses movement as the key to both health & cognition, improving the fundamental processes of both the mind and the body.

We have experience working with the following issues

    • Focus

    • ADHD

    • Pelvic floor function

    • Breathwork

    • Memory training

    • Poor circulation

    • Low energy

    • Vagus nerve training

    • Sensory issues

  • Advancements in neuroscience have provided profound insights into the world of strength & flexibility, in ways that sometimes seem counter intuitive. The Rewire approach to strength & flexibility follows two fundamental principles.

Strength is not about achieving the maximum force, speed or endurance, but instead about finding the appropriate force for the task. A strong body therefore is an energy efficient body, one that can immediately find the exact amount of force necessary to perform a task, and return to rest to moment the force is no longer required.

Flexibility is a reflection of the brain’s perceived safety in the body. When all systems in the brain perceive movement to be safe, we find ourselves capable of moving further with control.

We have experience working with the following issues

    • Grip strength

    • Global weakness

    • Stiff joints

    • Hypermobility

    • Muscle activation

    • End range strength

    • Strength & flexibility programming

  • We cannot treat negative symptoms in the body without also addressing stress. When we deal with any kind of adversity our stress hormones kickstart the process of changing the brain & body to be focused on real time survival over thriving in the long term.

Addressing our stress is often the first step towards recovery, and when stress goes down it can kick off a positive upward spiral of growth.

We have experience working with the following issues

    • Chronic stress

    • Autonomic calming

    • Vagus nerve activation

    • Fight/flight regulation

    • Sports calming exercises

    • Lymphatic drainage

    • Improving sleep

    • Breathwork
